Snow time fun!

We're BACK! We were able to make it over the pass and back with LOTS of memories made in-between.

On Friday we got out on time and over safe. We were enjoying our time visiting with Grandma and Grandpa when the water went out! We had no water for all of Saturday while making and having the family Christmas party. Everyone was great bringing water and we had such a fun time. We had a ROUGH game of White Elephant with everyone trying to get the two HUGE remote controls. The VanClan 8 had the upper hand until everyone else ganged up on us. We STILL won one of the remotes. Of course we didn't need or want it we just liked keeping everyone going. We finally just gave it to Austin who REALLY wanted it:-)

It snowstormed every day except on our way there and on the way back. Because of the storms church was canceled so we had sacrament in G&G's house. The kids gave the lesson and Sara and Emelie sang the songs they learned in primary. It was a beautiful and very spiritual day. However, later that night we had no ELECTICITY! We had finally gotten the water back and then the electricity went out. It came on again at midnight and then again around 10 in the morning on Monday so we were able to have our pancakes and egg breakfast after all.

We had a small break in the storm just long enough to go trade our too small tire chains for ones that fit our suburban. Thank goodness we have not needed them! Except of course the day we arrived. We had made it over the pass safe and sound but became a 2-ton sled on G&G's lane. Grandpa had to come pull us up the hill ;o)

Needless to say this was a Christmas trip we will NOT soon forget. We are safe and memories were made. Now we are geared up to create more memories this Christmas season.

We just had family photos done and thought you would like a sneek peak!

We just had 18" of white cold stuff dumped on us last night and more is supposed to be coming. The kids sure loved their day off of school with HOURS spent with friends outside.

We are going over to the west side of WA for a family Christmas with Tim's parents and sisters. At-least that is the plan if the snow allows it. We should be back on the 23rd in time to have our annual Christmas Eve pizza party with friends (started with Miss Emily and family). Then of course Christmas day and all the joy that brings.

So I'll be back to give you up-dates as soon as I can and let you see all the fun we had.

Trying Again

Sorry to all who were not able to get on my last blog attempt. It was not very user friendly or id10t proof since I can't get on to update. So I am trying this one now. Hope it works for all of you this time and that I will be able to get back on.
